The Who:

Rory James McGowan. Late twenties, eager and hungry. Texas born, South Texas raised (Corpus Christi), West Texas Educated (Texas Tech University). Sports fan: Astros, NY Jets, Spurs, Stars, Tottenham, Texas Tech. Hobbies: reading, writing, sports watching, cooking, card collecting, streaming, and listening to music. 

The What:

I want to write for a living, but I mainly want to be in advertising, specifically on the creative side. I will take any opportunity to be in advertising I can get. I want enough money to be able to afford an Apple USB-C charging brick for my Apple Watch. What does that mean? Well if you give me money, it's going to go towards my student loans, then I’ll want to travel so leftover money is going to go to my savings, then leftover money would go towards a new car since I’m driving a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta (with no aux cord!), then I would consider getting a cat so leftover money would go towards the cat, then leftover money would go, finally, towards buying an Apple USB-C charging brick for my Apple Watch. 

The When:

Right now would be nice. I graduated from Texas Tech in 2020 and I’ve been doing internships and social media jobs to stay alive since, but I would love to get a career job right now if possible.

The Where:

Anywhere. I’m a Texas boy, but I love to travel. If I had to have a preference it would be anywhere with a decent baseball team to watch, but if you’re only a few hours from a professional one that’s ideal. 

The Why:

My Imagination never really left me, I’ve always felt very creative. I like to take something that exists and expand on the idea or concept. For example Star Wars is one of my favorite movies/brands of all time. I love to take those characters and those worlds and expand on them. As for advertising, my cousin is a copywriter and one Christmas she came home with her work and I was able to see storyboards and copy for advertisements that would be released the next year and I thought that was so cool. I went to Texas Tech with hopes of being a computer scientist and left with a BA in Advertising (and a minor in Creative Media Industries).

The How:

With your help! That’s right you the person reading this right now can help me accomplish my goals, help me reach my full potential by simply letting me work for you! Money makes the world go round and my world, at this point in time, revolves heavily around money. You can also just give me money, but I’d rather work for it.
